When I purchased this item I knew I was not buying real furniture, I do however have a purpose for this kind of book shelf as make shift garage storage units. You get what you pay for, although the price is a little high for cheaply made particle board with cardboard backing which frankly why do they even bother with a card board backing?. it would probably be better to back it with some thin plywood but then again if your going to start spending more money, then perhaps a better quality product is the way to go.
If you try to match the dotted nail holes manufactured on the backing to attach to the main frame beware because they really don’t line up and you will just end up chipping the particle board!
Whatever you do, I stress do not use this item as a regular bookcase the shelves will warp and bend and then eventually spilt. It’s ok to display a few show piece items but don’t put it in the living room if your hoping to impress visitors, Cheap looks Cheap!

All of the sales people were absolutely super. But there was a terrible mixup between the store and the installers. It cost me several trips to go to the store, but finally the low staff was able to get it cleared away. I rate the product and yours low staff five. A reason for the low review is because of the mixup by the installers and not getting the schedule inputted into Lowe’s schedule. Please let me emphasize. I am highly impressed by the people who helped both and selecting the product and making sure that it got completed.

I love this bookcase. The price is really unbeatable. We liked them so much that we bought two more, so now we have four of these awesome bookcases. They’re full of books, too, and hold the weight with no problem. They’re study, easy to put together, and pretty. They line up seamlessly if you put one next to the other. I really can’t recommend these enough!

Would give it minus star reviews if I could..would take it back but I already had disposed of box…this is junk with a cardboard backing? I was so disgusted with product I couldn’t look at it in my bedroom …put it out for bulk trash on trash day….

Only problem i found was the back panels were not cut excatly right so had to make it work and coild not use pre cut screw holes i put together 7 of these and it was the same problem on each. Other than that they are great sturdy shelves

This is by far the lowest quality shelving I have ever purchased. Item is extremely flimsy, comes with literal cardboard as a backer board, was missing hardware, holes improperly tapped for hardware provided, instructions actually make it more difficult to assemble than it actually is which is rather simple regardless. should be ashamed to sale this garbage and I truly mean garbage. I would have never bought something like this to put in my own home. I bought to put in a bathroom I’m building for my Mother and grandfather and when looking at options in store,my wife convinced me to save the money since we are financing the bathroom build and I agreed. Sadly this is below the standard even when purchasing for someone else as a gift. I am absolutely sure that if I were to leave it there, I would be replacing it within a year and it is so flimsy, it would be a hazard to my 60 and 80 year old mother and grandfather. This garbage actually ruined my evening and productivity due to the fact I now have wasted time assembling and now to disassemble, return to store, ugh. So frustrated that would sale this crap.

I can’t believe this is pressboard. It may not mean a lot to you but every dollar counts and as soon as I put the top together, it fell apart! I followed the instructions very carefully. It has to do with the wood and the sturdiness of the nails/pins (what they gave you in the packet) for it to fit properly. I can’t believe that I am now stuck with a broken bookcase. No offer to replace. UCK>>>>>

Three out of four bookcases were fine, the fourth did not line up correctly. Instructions were good and easy to follow. Not as easy for one person but doable. Price indicates quality, acceptable but not wonderful. Would love to be able to buy additional shelves. Item was as described so no complaints, one star off for the fourth bookcase that did not line up but three were lined up correctly

I was super impressed at how spelled out the assembly instructions were. I literally returned a similar unit recently to another store because I couldn’t figure out how to put them together.
These are obviously the lower budget book cases but that is what I needed for the the grandkids books and toys. They went together in a breeze and look great. Great price for these.

I needed a bookshelf to display my dolls, and this ine was perfect! It arrived quickly, and was easy to out together. It took my husband and me may 15-20 minutes to assemble. And it goes perfect with the hedroom set. It is much whiter than it appears in the pictures.

This product is mediocre. Cam locks did not work and Allen screws had to be replaced with . Had to buy reinforcing L braces and T braces to make sure this would not fall down over time and use. In addition the white fiber boards were torn upon receipt and generally are useless even when not torn up. White backboards had to be procured and cut to fit. After all the additional parts and effort the bookcase was usable.
Now why you ask did I buy this product. It was available when I needed it. Sadly more expensive shelving was available but most would have had the same or similar issues and they were on back-order at the time I needed to complete this product.
Would I recommend this product to a friend? I would only if they know that this will require more parts and more TLC to make it work as intended.
How to fix the product. Use additional bracing to supplement the Cam locks and replace the Allen screws with Phillips head screws and this would be a step up in reducing the issues in this an other reviews on this product.

When we received the shelf we were happy that it was showing up on time and the size was just right for what we needed but as we put it together we noticed that two of the shelves had what looked like air pockets on them so the shelves I guess are wrapped? Needless to say we had no choice but to put it together still and use them because the reason for the purchase was to hold books and it was going to be covered up anyway from the books so figured why not use it we don’t want to wait for another shelving unit that might have the same issue. Happy with the outcome of this purchase but we are not happy about the price and the quality of the product

It’s particle wood, but what else will you get for the price? Instructions weren’t Horrible but mainly used the illustrations to assist with assembly.

I built this bookshelf perfectly. I placed a normal size printer above the top of it and the back of it popped out even though it was screwed in. When we tried to move the bookshelf two feet away it demonstrated the poor quality of this product. Do not purchase unless you are buying it as a display that will not be touched and it’s definitely not for books.
