The desk came in a few pieces and was so easy assemble. It took about 10 minuets total to put it together. It was the easiest piece of furniture I’ve ever had to build. I was a bit concerned when I saw all the screws were scratched up. After everything was put together, I couldn’t even notice the scratches on the screws. The desk looks very sleek and fabulous.

This desk has such a sleek and stylish look with the black table top and gold legs that it can honestly be used for multiple things in fact that was my problem first I was going to use it as a laptop work desk but then I thought it looked too chic and I wanted to show it off a little bit so I use it as an entryway table. My wife wanted to use it as a vanity like I said it could be used in multiple ways.There are two drawers which would be great for papers,makeup or right now for me keys,mail and other front door needs. Assembly was a breeze. If you’re looking to dress up an area or just for a work desk or for other needs you can’t go wrong with this one.

The desk is exactly as pictured, very easy to assemble (only attaching legs). We were slightly disappointed in the quality. The wood is thin and we noticed slight chipping of the paint around the drawers and edges. The paint appears to easily scratch and have marks left on it. We expected for the price higher quality paint and overall product but it’s more of a decorative desk for occasion work.

So, the only thing it has going for it is that it is pretty. I wanted a writing desk in my bedroom, so I didn’t want something that looked like it belonged in an office, but something classic and pretty, and something in my budget. Until you get really close up you would think it was great. The design is simple and elegant. It took awhile to arrive at for pick up. The box was badly smashed, even with delivery to the store, due to the cheapness of the box. Inside though it was very well packed and instructions simple. However, when I tried to put the legs on the base I could see that part of the the top of one of the legs, which the desk sits on was welded on bent. It was probably bent about 1/2 inch! So I couldn’t actually put the leg on. It was purely poor quality control on their part, as I’ve seen a comment by another person at another retailer with the same problem. The metal for the legs is cheap as well, so if one tried to bend it into place, the leg or the poor welding would just snap. I called the company and left a message, but called the next day again and got it in less than a week. It took about 10 minutes to put the legs onto the desk top, but the hardware, a lot of which you see, is sort of discolored. It sits fine. The wood itself feels cheap, and the paint job is not the best, especially around edges. The bar between the legs makes it uncomfortable for one’s legs. I will probably change the knobs in the future & looked at the inside of the drawers (which actually work fine & are roomy) and the knob assembly. It isn’t standard, but just a very cheap plastic knob attached by a wood screw. I should have returned it, but haven’t found another desk to suit my needs, nor did I want to try to package it up to return it. I will just try to be extra careful with it. I’m sure it will scratch easily. Next time I hope Ikea will have something that works for me.

Love, love this piece! After placing my order, it only took two days to get. It was wrapped and packed very well to prevent any damage to the product. As you can see in the pictures, there were minimal pieces. Took twenty minutes, max to put together. Placed it in my entry to our house. The color is beautiful and not cheap looking. Everyone who has seen it loves it! You will not be disappointed.
