For the price, you can’t beat this, but that being said, there are still issues. Poor craftmanship is obvious. While my piece, which was the black one, only had one issue with the holes being misaligned, there were several areas where pieces were already falling aprat. The X wasn’t attached on one side and there were two instances of nails sticking straight out.
My biggest issue was the very poor instructions. There is a beveled edge to this and they said to have it facing up. I did that, even though I thought it was odd, and indeed, when the entire piece was put together, the beveled edge clearly was supposed to be facing the floor. Please pay attention to that. It’s not that hard to put together, if all your holes are aligned, and for the most part, mine were. The braces they include were not necessary, IMO, as the top is quite sturdy. The bookshelf itself was not level. I put felt on the bottom to align it. All in all, not a bad piece for the price and it certainly looks pretty in my office.

Piece looks great and went together very easily. Everything fits snug, but it is a little flimsy. Much more for decoration than function as a bookshelf. Also a small chip in the wood due to the staples used on the “x”

Bought 2 of these, 3 – 5 shelve the small one was not finished on the top of each shelf, missing holes for screws. Called the store, they were rude!! So I went to another company and bought a stain and finished myself!!!

Purchased this for my home office, use it as a printer stand and to store supplies in decorative boxes. Wish it were a bit wide but it does the job. Very easy to assemble.

After picking up, my husband decided to put together at home would be much easier than taking to his mother in a nursing home. It was very simple to put together without any difficulty. The wood was a nice cherry brown color and very stylish. His mother loved it and was very proud we got it for her. Looking at possibly getting another one!
