The shelves then selves are fine, the back of the thing is garbage. Took it out of the box and was unfolding it to put it on and it ripped very easily. Luckily I had a piece of cardboard big enough to put on it. With out the back on it it’s flimsy flimsy.

Looks great, what I wanted, however the back is very delicate – partial board. A 15lb cat walked across it as we were nailing it in place and it broke down the middle. Fixable with duct tape but needs to be a bit sturdier.

It’s flimsy at best. Backing could benefit from markings or pre-drilled holes for the nails.

Missing a shelf, crumbling particle board, the contact paper comes off when you try to take the stickers off. I had no idea the back of it was Folding Cardboard, Yikes ! Sending them back …..

The back of the bookcase is made of cardboard. The black finish was marred in shipping. We returned the bookcase.

Finally arrived — days late — only to be a piece of junk. Pre-drilled holes WAY too small for fasteners. Should have been a breeze for college student to assemble for apt shelving need. DO NOT ORDER THIS.

First, I would like to say that the frame of this bookshelf seems to be made fairly well, and I think it will serve its purpose.
A few disappointments:
The top shelf was not laminated on both sides, but it seems it should be. The laminate itself is so thin, it is easily damaged. The adhesive on the stickers labeling each piece pulled some of the very thin laminate off upon removal of the label stickers.
The pegs that hold the shelves up are made of cheap plastic, so it remains to be seen just how sturdy they are for weighted items. I was originally going to store canned goods on these shelves, but have, instead, moved other items not as heavy onto the shelves, and am moving the canned goods to the other location, out of concern that the plastic pegs wouldn’t hold up to the canned goods.
The shelving fits the space well, and I believe I will be ordering a second one of these to place in an L shape to this one, which is what I had hoped to do. I may replace the plastic pegs with some metal ones built for holding up shelves, to make it sturdier.
11×11 fabric cubes, 2 per shelf, fit great, just stick out over the edge slightly. 12×12 fit too snug for comfort.
