Beautiful product and relatively easy to assemble for one person. The only negative is the pre-drilled holes to attach the “x” frame at the back of the shelf weren’t deep enough so I just left it off…not a deal breaker though.

I really like the product. Solid and very attractive. But putting it together I got brown wood stain all over my fingers. The wood had never been polyurethaned. I had to take the shelf apart, but product and polyurethane all of it, and then put it back together. I was worried that if I didn’t, it would get brown stain on any books or items I ever put on it.
I knew I was ordering a product that needed to be assembled. I did not expect to have to spend more money to make it finished.

My wife and I like this ladder bookshelf. It is good for the price. It is real wood, walnut color, but pieces are thin (shelves about 1/2 inch thick) and one cracked at screw point. I was able to repair so it’s secure and not visible.

The bookshelf came missing the black metal pieces for the back of it. It was extremely difficult to put together as the holes were not drilled to fit the screws that were sent.

Extremely easy to assemble, gorgeous and sturdy. All you could ever want out of a bookshelf. The only drawback is the size, and that only really will apply to a scarce few. The wall that we have it against makes it look small, so we had to order another one!

It has a lot of screws and definitely took time to assemble. It’s sturdy, doesn’t wobble, and looks fantastic. My husband was very happy that it was wood and not particle board.
